Sesriem Canyon
Sesriem Canyon is a stunning natural wonder carved over centuries by the Tsauchab River in Namibia’s Namib Desert. This narrow, winding gorge reaches depths of up to 30 meters, revealing layers of ancient rock formations. Visitors can explore its cool, shaded paths and sometimes find small pools of water, making it a unique and refreshing spot amid the arid desert landscape.
Sesriem serves as the gateway to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. It’s not an actual town or village, but rather an area with several lodges and many campsites that welcome a large number of visitors each year.
