As of April 1, 2025, Namibia has implemented new visa requirements for tourists from 33 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and several European nations. This policy change ends the previous visa-free entry for these nationalities.

Key Visa Requirements

Visa Requirement: Tourists from the affected countries must now obtain a visa to enter Namibia. Visas can be acquired either online in advance or upon arrival at designated entry points.

Visa on Arrival: Available at major airports such as Hosea Kutako International Airport and Walvis Bay International Airport, as well as several land border posts.

Visa Fees: The fee for a visa on arrival is N$1,600 (approximately US$90) for non-African nationals and N$1,200 (approximately US$70) for African nationals.

e-Visa Option: Travelers are encouraged to apply for an e-visa prior to arrival to expedite the entry process. Applications can be submitted through Namibia's official e-services portal.
