That unexpected encounter sparked the idea for an interactive, wildlife-friendly experience that has since become a staple in Walvis Bay. Today, even with many companies offering similar excursions, Levo continues to stand out as the original—with passionate skippers who keep the tradition alive.

Meet Spotty, the Star Seal

Every morning at 9:00 a.m., Levo’s boats depart from the harbor—and Spotty, their friendly seal mascot, is already waiting dockside for his morning treat. As the boat glides out into the lagoon, Spotty often hops aboard to greet passengers, pose for photos, and enjoy a few fishy snacks in exchange for belly rubs and selfies.

A Guided Tour Through Coastal Wonders

As the cruise sails through the Walvis Bay Lagoon toward Pelican Point, the crew shares insightful commentary about local wildlife, the town’s harbor history, nearby ships and oil rigs, and the icy Benguela Current. Keep your eyes open for pelicans, cormorants, flamingos, and countless seabirds along the way.

At Pelican Point, guests are treated to the sights and sounds of a bustling Cape Fur Seal colony. With a bit of luck, the tour may also include sightings of ocean sunfish, leatherback turtles, and—depending on the season—Heaviside's and Bottlenose dolphins or even migrating Humpback whales.

Oysters, Sparkling Wine, and Ocean Memories

Before heading back to shore, the tour slows down for a relaxing snack break in the calm waters of the lagoon. Guests are served fresh Namibian oysters, light bites, and a glass of sparkling wine—a perfect toast to the day’s marine discoveries.
